WHAT IS REVERSE OSMOSIS?
Considered one of the best water treatment methods, reverse osmosis uses a semi-permeable membrane, leaving almost all (95% to 99%) of dissolved salts behind the reject stream, giving out clean, great-tasting water. Ro systems are used in a variety of applications including filtration in homes, restaurants, offices, industries, etc.
STAGES OF RO SYSTEMS
Although the Ro membrane is the focus of a reverse osmosis system, it typically has three, four, or five stages of filtration.
Sand Filtration; It improves water quality by removing contaminants, turbidity, and total suspended solids.
Activated Carbon Filtration; It removes excess chlorine and improves scent and taste of water.
Sediment Filtration; It removes large particles like dirt, sand, dust, rust and other micoscopic porticles.
RO Membrane; It effectively removes 99% of all contaminants and all excess metal cataions i.e Flouride, Lead, Mercury, etc.
